Welcome to your first TechTime Quarterly Product Update. We bring to you a summary of the new features for our apps and use-cases behind them. As Solution Partners as well as Marketplace Vendors, we do understand that nobody has the time for any 'fluff', so here are our biggest updates:

Our focus this quarter has been the Cloud release of our latest app, EasyTime, which is designed to instantly log time as users are interacting with issues. So far it has been very successful, winning Codegeist 2020 honourable mention, and it has been getting a great reception from our own customers and early evaluators.

Any Solution Partners who are interested or who think some of their customers may be interested are encouraged to get in contact, we are actively looking for beta testers to help drive the future direction of EasyTime.

EasyTime — an automatic time tracking app for Jira

EasyTime logs time automatically as you work through your Jira issues in real-time. So, no more reverse engineering or guessing at the end of the day or week to see where all your time actually went.

Cloud Release & Codegeist Honourable Mention Winner

The idea of automatic time tracking and recording has proven to be very popular and sparked a lot of interest. We've offered a secret peek preview of the Server app to select parties at Atlassian Open conference in Vienna, Austria in September 2019. The one piece of feedback repeated over and over was "get this thing to Cloud!" – so we have been busy converting it to a Cloud app.

Our initial Cloud version won an honourable mention award in Atlassian's Codegeist 2020 hackathon, which we are very proud of!

Our next step is integrating more closely with timesheet apps like Tempo Timesheet (Stay tuned for another release soon (smile) )

EasyTime is our newest addition on the Atlassian Marketplace that is available on Cloud, Server and Data Center. Just like all our other apps, EasyTime embodies our slogan 'Be Lazy. The Machine Does It Better — #everykeystrokematters'

EasySSO — Single Sign-On app with 5 authenticators

EasySSO password-less login app that offers 5 authenticators: NTLM, Kerberos, SAML, X.509 and HTTP Headers. It thrives in complex environments, supporting Intranet and Extranet scenarios, working with VPNs and firewalled networks. Available for Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo and Fisheye.

Contact TechTime support within EasySSO:

We wanted to make it easier for people setting up EasySSO to get help and to make it clear that our support team can help you get it working. All of the admin screens now have links to the relevant documentation and FAQ for the setup step, and links to send questions directly to our 24x7 support desk.

Who does it affect?

  • Users configuring EasySSO for the first time.
  • Anyone who needs help setting up EasySSO (including Solution Partners)

We have already noticed a big bump in customers reaching out via the footer links, so although a small change, we consider it a big success so far.

SAML - Automatically add user to groups on first login:

If your SAML IdP is configured to send groups when a user first logs in, EasySSO can now parse these groups and add the user to any that exist in the application. So when a new staff member joins or needs access to your Atlassian application, simply add the correct group on the IdP side, and when they first access the Atlassian application, they can be automatically added to the correct groups, with the right level of access obtained automatically.

UserManagement — Automatic, Regular and Efficient bulk user management

Deactivate and manage multiple users quickly on schedule or on demand. Available for Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.

Improved Email Reporting from Scheduled User Actions:

User Management can be configured to send an email report after scheduled actions (such as deactivating users who are not actively using the application) that outlines all of the actions the app has taken on every user. This is really useful for customers with strong auditing and compliance requirements. We have made it so that the email now clearly states the most important information in the email body, such as the scheduled action configuration, who was the authorizing use, and the time when the action was performed.

We have a lot of exciting releases in the upcoming quarter so watch out for this space! We're always keen to hear your thoughts and get feedback from you. Book a call with us for a demo, user-interview or even a chat! As a thank you, we do give away $50 Amazon Gift Cards for user-interviews.

A quick reminder, as Atlassian Marketplace Partner we remain in the Marketplace Discount Program for Atlassian Partners, which means you automatically get discounts when you sell our apps and free licenses for internal use. For Server apps, additionally to the default 10%, this year we have decided to offer another 11% discount to all Partners to bring this back (as close as possible) to the "good old levels of 20%". Just reach out to our support for the promo code! We do think this year has been hard enough already! (tongue)

Our next update is due on January 2021, however, feel free to reach out with any queries through our support portal.
